Tripel Ice Cube Wees origineel en recycleer de Tripel I Like Cube

Recycle your Tripel I Like Cube and turn it into a Tripel Ice Cube!
You would have to go to the refrigerator less and it looks beautiful.

What do you need

  1. An empty Triple I Like Cube
  2. The Tripel I Like fresh in the refrigerator
  3. Cutting board
  4. Cutter knife
  5. Stapler
  6. Plastic bag of at least 15L
  7. Cooking pot
  8. 250 gr salt
  9. 2 KG ice blocks
  10. 5 L of potable water

Stap 1
Remove the flaps at the top of the Tripel I Like Cube with a utility knife on the cutting board. Be careful!

Stap 2
Place the plastic bag in the box and stretch it over the edge.

Stap 3
Place 3 staples per side through the bag in the box. Be careful, some staples are long. These dare to stick out. Do not hurt yourself during these manipulations.

Stap 4
Roll up the plastic bag on the outside so that the printing on the box remains clearly visible. If necessary, you can trim it a bit, but make sure that a piece remains over the edge.

Stap 5
Pour 4 of the 5 liters of water into the Cube. Why water? If you only use ice, there are only few points of contact with your bottles and they will never stay cold.

Stap 6
Boil the remaining liter of water and dissolve the salt in it. The salt lowers the freezing point, causing the ice to thaw faster and thus release cold to the water more quickly.
Be careful, salt water stains. If you spill something, wipe it off quickly.

Stap 7
Pour the salt solution into the cold water in the Tripel I Like Cube.

Stap 8
Add the ice cubes.

Stap 9
Carefully place the bottles in the Tripel Ice Cube. It can easily hold 15 bottles. Place the sixteenth nicely between two bottles. It also has a place and it looks beautiful.

Stap 10
Enjoy just remember: Beer brewed with love, you drink it sensibly.
Regularly scoop out some water and put some ice cubes instead.

Storage and pouring

Storage

Store your Tripel I Like in a dark room, at a temperature below 15°C. Most cellars are ideal. Keep the bottles upright so that the yeast settles cleanly at the bottom of the bottle. Our Tripel is at its best at a temperature of 6 to 8°C. Tip for those who like the details right: if your fridge is nice and cool (at about 4°C), take the bottles out ten minutes before serving.

Pouring

Tripel I Like is best drunk in our own glass or in a tulip-shaped wine glass. Pour the beer in one movement but gently for the perfect collar. Leave a base of about 1 cm in the bottle.

Step 1

  • Use a clean and dry glass at room temperature.
  • Hold the glass at an angle of 45°.
  • Pour in slowly (without plopping) along the side of the glass. Avoid any contact between the glass and the bottle.

Step 2

  • Slowly hold the glass upright for a rich, full layer of foam.
  • Create more distance between the bottle and the glass when there is insufficient foam.

Step 3

  • Bring the glass completely straight but beware of excessive foam.
  • Leave about 1 cm of beer in the bottle so that the yeast doesn't get into the glass.
